One bad list can tank your sender domain for weeks. Bounces above two percent get flagged by inbox providers, your replies stop coming back, and weeks of warmup go up in smoke. The free verifiers miss catch-alls and role accounts. Leadify verifies every email at the SMTP layer, classifies the result, and gives your reps a clear go or no-go before send.
How it works
- Send list to verify — Upload a CSV, paste a list, or run verification automatically as part of any Leadify discovery or enrichment workflow.
- Syntax and DNS check — We validate format and confirm the domain has working MX records before going further.
- SMTP mailbox check — We connect to the receiving server and confirm the mailbox accepts mail without sending an actual email.
- Classify and return — Each email gets a status: deliverable, undeliverable, risky, catch-all, or role-based, with reasoning included.
Questions and answers
How accurate is the verifier?
Deliverable-classified emails see bounce rates under one percent in our customer cohorts. Catch-all domains are flagged separately so you can route them appropriately.
Do you send a real email to verify?
No. We use the SMTP handshake to confirm mailbox existence without actually sending a message. The recipient sees nothing.
What is a catch-all and how do you handle it?
A catch-all domain accepts every address regardless of mailbox. We flag these so you can decide whether to send (often safe) or skip (most cautious).
Is this GDPR compliant?
Yes. Verification is a technical check that does not store the email content and respects data-handling rules and opt-out requests.
